• information you provide to register for the on-line Deal and Walmer Forum or to receive our e-mail notifications and newsletters.

• any other information that you choose to send to us.

* WalmerWeb provides a number of pro-forma to help you submit information. These often include "tick boxes" for you to indicate anything you do not wish to have published.

WalmerWeb shares some on-line content with the DealWeb community website and other carefully selected non-commercial community websites.

Cookies

WalmerWeb does NOT use cookies to track your use of the website, except on the opinion survey form and Guestbook where cookies are merely used to avoid duplicate submissions.

(On other websites that do use cookies, information is sent by the website's server to the visitor's web browser and stored on his or her computer. The next time the browser revisits the page the information is sent back to the server, enabling the web server to identify and track it. Most browsers have settings that allow users to reject some or all cookies.)

Use of your personal information

Any personal information you choose to submit will only be used as described in this privacy policy or as further explained in a relevant section of this website.

We will take all reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. That said, it needs to be appreciated that data sent over the Internet is inherently insecure.

Avoiding "spam". Any e-mail contact addresses published on WalmerWeb are "masked", to help avoid the risk of them being gathered by automated spam mail robots. We do not pass on your e-mail address to any other parties unless you agree.

Users of the Deal and Walmer Forum bulletin board may wish to modify their own e-mail addresses if included in a posted message to reduce the risk of being "spammed". Most people - but not robots - will realise that joebloggs@NOSPAMaol.com is really joebloggs@aol.com and needs editing when used to address an e-mail.

Your rights

You may request removal or modification of content on WalmerWeb if originally provided by yourself. This will be complied with as soon as practicable, subject to our satisfaction that it is a bona fide request. You are, of course, responsible for letting us know if any of your personal information needs to be corrected or updated.
Although not directly related to personal privacy considerations, information that helps to ensure accuracy and usefulness of the content of WalmerWeb is warmly welcomed.
