Gymnastics Club, Deal

Meet: Victoria Park, Deal on Mondays to Saturdays. Activities include: promoting and coaching the sport of gymnastics at all levels; drop in sessions for parents and toddlers; coached gymnastics for pre-school children; recreational gymnastics for boys and girls; and competitive artistic and sports acro gymnastics for girls up to national level.

Handelian Society, Deal
and Walmer
The last surviving society of its type in the UK, founded as a 'small choral society with affinity towards Handel' in 1946 by Dr James S Hall, an eminent Handelian Scholar. The Society presents three concerts a year, one of which is a Handel Oratorio. Rehearsals: Mondays 7.30pm-9pm. Trinity Methodist Church, Union Street, Deal. For auditions:

Interludes Stage and Screen Club Provides a programme of movie classics, film noir, foreign language films, documentaries and films with a local interest plus live stage performances by established actors, authors, broadcasters and musicians. Screenings are twice a month on a Friday evening, using the latest digital equipment. Live performances are once a month on a Saturday night. The club is based in St Georges Hall, off Deal High Street, although other venues may be used when appropriate. Annual membership is £10. The public may also obtain tickets on the night or in advance from a number of outlets in the town. Colin Whittington
