The WalmerWeb community website first went
"on-line" in May 2004. Since then, thanks to the
efforts of webmaster Harold Wyld and the terrific support
of a number of local residents and organisations - not least
Walmer Parish Council - the content has developed enormously.
Mission. The website is provided as an entirely voluntary
service to local residents and anyone interested in the coastal
parish of Walmer in the UK county of Kent.
Liability. Care has been taken to ensure that the
information on WalmerWeb is both accurate and up-to-date.
However, we do not accept any liability to any party for loss,
damage or inconvenience incurred by reliance placed on the
said information.
Advertising and Free Listings. WalmerWeb does
NOT accept paid advertising. Listings of local businesses
and service providers - mostly based in the parish - are free
of charge. Inclusion should not be regarded as endorsement
or recommendation.
Errors. If users spot any omissions or errors, information
to help put matters right will be greatly appreciated. Please
contact the Webmaster by CLICKING
HERE.
External links. Where links are provided to other
websites, WalmerWeb is not responsible for any information
or material contained within those sites nor for any agreements
or transactions entered into by users.
Privacy and spam. As a general policy, any e-mail
contact addresses published on WalmerWeb are "masked",
to help avoid the risk of them being gathered by automated
spam mail robots. WalmerWeb does not pass on e-mail
addresses to any other parties. Users of the WalmerWeb
bulletin board and guestbook services may wish to modify their
own e-mail addresses to reduce the risk of being "spammed".
Most people - but not robots - will realise that joebloggs@NOSPAMaol.com
is really joebloggs@aol.com and
needs a little editing when used to address an e-mail.
Copyright. All photographs, text and graphics used
on this site are the property of their respective owners or
originators and should not be reproduced without prior permission.
Copyright owners may be contacted via the WalmerWeb
webmaster.
Browser support. Pages on WalmerWeb should
display satisfactorily on most web browsers - including Microsoft
Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. The links to e-mail
addresses may not work automatically in some browsers.
There is a way round this. Right click on the link and select
an option to copy the address. Open your mail program; open
a blank e-mail; right click in the "To:" line and
select "paste". If you experience other problems
please contact us with details of the browser you are using,
the page/s where problems occur and what the actual problem
is.
